Kelce officially confirmed the dog’s name during an episode of his New Heights podcast in early September. According to Kelce, Wendy is a little over a year old and had already been part of their life for quite some time before they introduced her publicly. The NFL star also revealed that Wendy’s appearance in the Tommy Hilfiger campaign was his idea, after the brand discussed having a dog involved in the shoot. He said she was a natural fit for the campaign. Wendy appeared alongside Kelce in the fashion campaign, quickly attracting attention from both Swifties and NFL fans. Wendy's debut is particularly interesting because Taylor Swift has long been known as a devoted cat owner. Swift’s three famous cats, Meredith Grey, Olivia Benson, and Benjamin Button, have become familiar names among her fans. With Wendy joining the household, the couple now have another celebrity pet attracting public attention. Wendy’s appearance also reflects the growing connection between Kelce and the fashion world. The Samoyed appeared with the football star in the campaign, turning what could have been a simple promotional shoot into a major celebrity moment. The Washington Post and other reports confirmed that the dog at the September 10th fashion show was a Wendy look-alike, used as a playful nod to the Samoyed's recent Tommy Hilfiger campaign. The real Wendy was therefore not the dog seen walking the runway. Even so, Wendy has already become a small celebrity in her own right, with Kelce joking that she might be a natural model. For now, however, Wendy remains primarily a beloved family pet, and one of the newest additions to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s increasingly famous household.
